  • Host Communities Merit Award - For applicants strictly from NAOC host communities
  • National Merit Award - For applicants of non-host Communities

Eligibility

 

To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST be:

  • Registered Full TIME undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
  • Certified 100 level students at the time of application

Note: The following category of students should not apply:

  • 200 level and above
  • Current Beneficiaries of similar awards from other companies and agencies
  • Dependents of NAOC
  • Only Indigenes of NAOC host communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Imo States SHOULD apply  for the Host Communities Merit Award.
  • Only candidates studying Engineering, Geology and Geosciences are eligible for the National Merit Award.

A.) Before you start this application, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents

  • Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)

6.) Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information and upload required scanned documents.

7.) Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.

8.) Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.

9.) When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.

10.) Recheck application information to avoid errors

11.) Click "Apply Now" to submit information

12.) You will receive an email and a sms that confirms your application was successful.

13.) Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.

14.) Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.

15. If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)

  • Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number
  • Click "Create Account" and fill in the required fields
  • Login with Email and Password to complete the form
  • After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture
  • Visit any of the 37 capture centreswww.nimc.gov.ng/pages/general/enrolmentcentres.htm to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number
  • You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office

16.) Return to www.scholastica.ng/schemes/naocscholarships and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion

 

Note

  • Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship board
  • The aptitude test will take place at designated centres to be communicated to candidates at a later date and Candidates are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and from the aptitude test centres.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Marketing Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc
  • The Marketing Manager will work closely with the General Manager DBN, Marketing Director and the Customer Marketing team
  • The role will lead the marketing agenda for the Diageo spirits portfolio in Nigeria, developing brand strategies and leading the execution of these strategies to ensure that chosen priority brands are leaders in their categories in Nigeria.
  • The role will continually identify & quantify new growth opportunities for the portfolio based on continuously updated consumer insights, developing new growth drivers if required in partnership with West Africa Spirits Hub Team, whilst developing Spirits Marketing Talent for the future in Nigeria & Africa.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Work with the DBN General Manager & Marketing Director, Nigeria to set and execute the Nigeria five-year Strategy on Spirits Brands
  • Liaise with the West Africa Spirits Hub Team & fellow African spirits brand teams to ensure 2 way search & spin of growth drivers on the priority brands and lead delivery across the region
  • Develop & Coach the Nigeria Spirits Marketing team on Marketing & Spirits excellence in execution and support the DBN Customer Marketing team

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist and support the General Manager DBN to deliver the AOP growth aspirations plus overlay targets in F14 and beyond
  • Assist DBN General Manager in establishing the evolving route to market assessment for Spirits in Nigeria including a plan for correct COGS & efficient SKU's for long term growth
  • Support and lead Spirits Brand growth with Marketing Director by developing & implementing the code for growth for Spirits
  • Lead the development of the local Game Plan and lead the categories in the Joined up Business Planning (JUBP) process
  • Work with the in-market teams & commercial managers to turn the Spirits annual GAME brand plans into "executable" commercial plans and assist with the development of missing growth drivers.

Requirements

  • University degree in Marketing / Business or other related discipline preferred
  • Postgraduate Qualifications - an advantage
  • Proven and strong Brand and Trade marketing experience (6-10 years)
  • Proven ability in Team Leadership / Strategic thinking (minimum of 3-4 years)
  • Spirits experience / knowledge is essential
  • Proven experience working in emerging markets
  • Proven track record of leading & inspiring Agencies
  • Can demonstrate excellent Commercial acumen & Marketing judgement
  • Can demonstrate excellent cross-functional working skills & thought leadership
  • Extensive experience of ATL and BTL strategy development and implementation

Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited : Marketing Manager

Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited, PAN is recruiting for the position of a qualified Marketing Manager. It was incorporated in December 15, 1972 as Limited Liability Company with an authorized share capital of Three Million Naira. Twenty-seven months after incorporation, the then head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, commissioned the assembly plant on March 14, 1975, and though full operations had commenced on March 2, 1975.

 

The initiative to establish Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited was taken by the then Federal Military Government under the leadership of General Yakubu Gowon. The idea was concretised on October 6, 1969 when the Government invited 16 reputable vehicle-manufacturing companies in the world to establish a vehicle assembly plant in the country.

 

Twelve years before the initiative was taken, Peugeot cars made their first entry into Nigeria when individuals imported about 100 units of the Peugeot 403 model into the country. These cars soon became popular due to their legendary reliability and suitability to Nigerian road conditions. The demand for Peugeot cars in Nigeria rose sharply again in the 1960's with the further introduction of the Peugeot 404 model. With the high demand of Peugeot products which was a mark of acceptability, it was therefore not surprising when in May 7, 1971, Automobile Peugeot of France's proposal was selected out of those tendered by 16 various vehicle manufacturers.

Job Description

  • Ensure effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication, and advertising.
  • Develop and implement promotion/advertising support programs.
  • Strong Competition Analysis for strategy development.
  • Evaluate product performance.
  • Obtain market intelligence.
  • Research and evaluate new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights.
  • Overall marketing strategy and execution of plans for the existing products.
  • Work with product development teams to manage new product development.
  • Manage launch campaigns for new products.
  • Manage distribution channels.
  • Manage media and marketing staff and external PR agencies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or Related field
  • 10 years of progressively more responsible positions in marketing, preferably in a similar industry in two different firms.
  • Experience supervising and managing a team of professional staff.
  • Experience in the global market & Membership of relevant professional Body will be an added.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics:

  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse creative employees.

Purpose of Role

Key Accountabilities

 

1. Business Performance Measurement (BPM) reporting and analysis on a monthly basis, including:

  • Ownership for the compilation and review of detailed analyses of Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Risks/Opportunities for Nigeria Beer business results
  • Explanation of key performance drivers
  • Be the 'expert' for Nigeria market who is able to identify insights and value creating opportunities

2. Responsible for preparing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including:

  • Modelling for Debtors, Creditors and Inventory
  • Rigorously challenging the numbers and assumptions from finance and non-finance teams
  • Managing the collation of other inputs into the Balance Sheet (BS) /Cash Flow (CF)
  • Ensuring completeness, speed and accuracy of data

3. Working Capital Management including:

  • Organising relevant challenge and build meetings
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Reviewing and aligning with Line Manager and other key business stakeholders

4. Controls and Risk Management (CARM) compliance:

  • Assist Head of Finance Planning & Analysis (HFP&A)in ensuring Controls and Risk Management (CARM) compliance on Business Performance Measurement (BPM) involving performing key reconciliations and controls, testing controls and assessing results and potential improvements.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Graduate Calibre. Professional qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) is mandatory
  • Minimum 8 years post qualification experience in financial and/or management accounting role in an FMCG company.
  • Experience with SAP and Magnitude would be an added advantage
  • Analytical, interpretative and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft office proficiency
  • Self starter, high commitment, delivers against goals with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels and all functions
