Requirements

Undergraduate Interns must:
  • Possess a minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in one sitting at O'levels.
  • Be currently enrolled in a university. 
  • Have a minimum of second class upper degree grade in any discipline (CGPA of 3.5/5 or 3/4 for UK and US Schools respectively).
  • Have completed at least the second year of university.
  • CGPA Transcripts required. 
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills; and an ability to work in a team.
  • All applicants would be subject to an 'essay writing' and interview assessment.

Graduate Interns must
  • Possess a minimum of 5 credits including Maths and English in one sitting at O'levels.
  • Have a minimum of second class upper degree grade in any discipline.
  • Currently undergoing/pursuing a Post Graduate degree program.
  • Pass the KPMG Graduate Aptitude test.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills; and an ability to work in a team.

Duration
The internship period for each student is at least 6 weeks and at most 24 weeks. The KPMG summer Internship Program runs yearly from May through September. However, selection is based on performance and subject to manpower availability.

Job Title: Roaming Analyst
Department: Marketing and Strategy
Reporting To: Pricing & Analytics Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description
  • Develop optimal roaming propositions and promotions.
  • Execute data analytics that lead to the distillation of key business issues.
  • Present information in a structure that allows management to crystallize issues and articulate marketing strategy.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly roaming reports required by the top management.
  • Conduct data analysis - including collecting data, building models, and analyzing financial, operational and/or statistical data - in order to support the process of laying down the key strategic priorities for the roaming section.
  • Analyze the preferred partners' traffic and revenue in order to ensure accurate calculations and /or implementation of the IOT discounts and their consistency with the signed contract together with coordinating their proper management within the IT, Settlement and Finance concerned teams.
  • Study and propose competitive roaming rates and packages in order to support corporate market offers for outbound roaming.
  • Capture, analyse, document and communicate performance and recommendations of roaming to management on a timely basis for decision making.
  • Monitor, analyze and forecast the roaming performance and revenues.
  • Work closely with other internal departments in order to gather data & information to update the roaming revenue forecast and raise alarms based on the agreed-on thresholds.
  • Review contract documentations, roll out planning, and financial settlement processes so as to ensure their effective implementation.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of the outbound roaming promotions and setting the products roadmap in coordination with the Products & Services team.
  • Responsible for the outbound pricing Model preparation/ implementation/ maintenance, in light of market dynamics and updated IOT rates so as to ensure enhancing the outbound roaming profitability by providing competitive rates for outbound roamers.
  • Provide regular updates for Website/Intranet Roaming section.
Job Conditions
Normal MTNN working conditions. May be required to work extended hours.

Required Skills
  • A first degree in Economics, Accounting or a related discipline
  • Possession of a post graduate degree (MBA)  will be an advantage
  • 4 years working experience which includes:
  • 2 years in a business analyst or business analyst support role
  • Strong experience in analyzing complex data and making recommendations

a)   Financial
  • Responsible for Area Field Sales Force Overhead budget and effective use of all Marketing spend used by sales force.

Functional Capabilities:

Purpose of Role:
  • The Area Sales Manager is accountable for achieving brilliant execution with customers through leading an Area Field Sales teams.

Key Accountabilities
  • Drive achievement of profitable volume/market share target for the Area via delivery of sales drivers for the Area.
  • Ensure Retail Redistribution Scheme within the area is fully reviewed and managed.
  • Coaching of Retail Development Managers to ensure effective delivery.
  • Ensure maximum utilization of the Intouch tool to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensures brilliant execution of customer marketing/marketing promotional activity by ensuring the right outlets are selected, agencies are adhering to our standards.
Standard of Excellence/ Intouch Responsibilities
  • 1. Plan - Ensuring that all sales objectives are strategically aligned; support sales leaders where relevant with the process of defining, managing and cascading targets throughout the sales force.
  • 2. Execute - build the Structured Selling capabilities ensuring that Sales Representatives execute the 8 steps of the call with every customer; ensures all Sales Representatives use the Intouch PDA effectively.
  • 3. Measure - review Intouch information on sales representative performance vs targets at a minimum two times per week, act as a custodian of the Data in the system, actively ensuring that in market data guidelines and processes are adhered to.
  • 4. Insight - use reports and data from the Intouch management suite in order to generate commercial insights and drive execution of these opportunities through the sales teams
  • 5. Inspire- act as a trainer and deliver the Managing Relationships programme as part of the yearly sales capability plan / induction process, ensure all development, coaching & feedback is embedded within the appraisal process
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Graduate calibre with a minimum of 5 years experience gained across sales/consumer/customer   marketing. Previous experience of Field Sales or other customer facing roles is compulsory.
  • Previous experience of coaching/leading others and getting results through teams
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent Communication skills
Barriers to Success in Role
Essential to spend time in the Field with the team members and customers-need to stay in touch with the market

Working Location
Role is based in a defined geographical area, with minimum of 80% Field work, some travel to Divisional Office essential.
Role holder must be willing to work weekends and long nights
